Education for Ministry (EFM)

Education for Ministry is a program of education and formation designed to help Christian lay people prepare for their ministry. EFM helps develop an understanding of faith through the study of Scripture, church history and theology. It is a small group program, meeting once a week and includes readings, study, prayer, group reporting, discussion, and theological reflections. The Grace EFM group will begin this September.

Community Lenten Service & Meal

This event is hosted annually by a local church and is offered each Wednesday during
Lent (starting on Ash Wednesday and ending on the Wednesday of Holy Week).
Worship begins at 12:00 pm. and features a guest preacher and worship leader
from our larger community. Worship is followed by lunch, which is
arranged and prepared by teams of churches in our area.

Confirmation and Reaffirmation

Episcopal 101, also referred to as Inquirer’ Class, is an overview of the
essence of Episcopal faith and practice. While there are many
resources that one could explore on various topics concerning
“Episcopalianism”, this class is intended to be a
brief but thorough summary.

In the class, topics include
Episcopal Identity, Authority, Spirituality, Temperament and Polity.
The curriculum is tailored to the audience which means there is a
separate curriculum used for youth and adult groups.

People who would like to be reminded of the meaning of
our worship, why we do what we do and why we don’t do what
other churches might do, are encouraged to attend. People who
desire to be confirmed in the Episcopal Church, received from
another denomination or who desire to reaffirm their
baptismal vows are required to attend a minimum of
eighty percent of the classes.

Contact the rector, associate rector or parish administrator
for a current schedule of classes or to sign up.
